Message from Petie
Each and every horse that arrives at the Rescue is special. Sometimes their personalities scream for attention and others just want to be left alone to be a horse - then there is Petie.

Petie is a pony, a very special pony who goes about his own business on his own schedule. He has had bouts of severe laminitis most of his life. It may limit his mobility at times but it doesn't stop him from being him. He roams the barn after everyone else has gone out (we are pretty sure that he has appointed himself Quality Control and the Barn Taste Tester). You will also catch him taking naps on the front lawn or quietly munching on a bale of hay in the barn.

Petie is also special because he posesses the abilty to be calming. When a new horses arrives he takes it upon himself to keep them company until they feel safe.

Petie and the rest of the crew was visited by some animal communicators this past summer (you can read more about there visit on the Community Page). Please enjoy as you scroll through this page as it reflects alot of what we see and feel from Petie.

He's a little star, a gem. Holder of the secrets and the doings of the barn.
Understands the rhythm of the balance between joy and pain, hope and hopelessness, deceit and loyalty. It all happens in a Great Plan of Love.
We all share with each other, support each other, care for each other, share in loss and triumph. There is great healing in more ways than you can see or ever know. It's not really the physical that matters so much as it's being part of the family. It's healing of the soul that matters.
We enjoyed having you here and hope you come again. You are all good students and we find your openness and eagerness to learn heartwarming.
